Where It Started
Mike — Pop, Poppy, depending on who you ask — raised his kids with a simple philosophy: if something needs doing, figure it out and do it yourself. That meant everyone in the family grew up with tools in their hands, building and fixing things around the house from a young age.
When we needed sheds for our own properties — storage for the lakefront house, a workshop in Mooresville, a lean-to for the mowers — we built them ourselves. Proper framing, real materials, done right. Neighbors noticed. Then their neighbors asked. Then it stopped being a favor and became a business.
Charlotte Shed Builders is a division of Team No Sweat LLC, based in Terrell, NC and serving Charlotte, Lake Norman, and Mooresville. We’re not a franchise and we’re not a platform that dispatches strangers to your property. We’re a family crew that shows up, builds your shed, and stands behind the work.
The Crew
The person who gives you the estimate is the same person who shows up on build day. No subcontractors, no rotating teams.
Adam
The one who answers your texts
Runs the business side — estimates, scheduling, design drawings, and making sure every project stays on track. If you call or text Charlotte Shed Builders, you're talking to Adam.
Mike
Pop
Decades of hands-on experience. Mike's the reason everyone in the family knows how to swing a hammer. He taught us that if you're going to build something, build it right the first time.
Matt
Contractor's eye
Brother-in-law with a contractor background. Matt brings precision to every cut and a critical eye to every joint. Nothing leaves the job site that doesn't meet his standard.
Clint & Troy
Next generation
Nephews who grew up on job sites. They've been holding flashlights and handing tools since they could walk. Now they're framing walls and hanging doors.
We’d rather show you real work than stock photography. Job-site photos go up as we complete builds — in the meantime, get in touch and we’ll happily walk you through references and recent projects.

We saw a gap in the Charlotte market. You could buy a prefab shipped on a flatbed — thin walls, generic sizing, hope it fits through the gate. Or you could hire a general contractor at $80k+ to build a detached structure. Nothing in between.
We bring contractor-quality construction — real framing, real materials, professional drawings — to shed-scale projects, at prices that make sense for the structure you’re building. Every shed is designed to your specs, framed on your property, and built by the same crew from foundation to final trim.

Charlotte Shed Builders operates under Team No Sweat LLC alongside Lake Norman Handyman, our general handyman and home maintenance service covering the Lake Norman area. Same family, same work ethic. Need ongoing home maintenance beyond sheds? That’s the other side of our business.
